Comments from the cartoonist:
EPS means Earnings Per Share, a measure of corporate profit. It is calculated by dividing fully diluted earnings by the number of outstanding shares.
Dine-and-ditch is way to cheat restaurants. A patron finishes his or her meal and quickly leaves before paying their bill.
“A dead cat bounce is a temporary [stock market] recovery from a prolonged decline or a bear market that is followed by the continuation of the downtrend. The name “dead cat bounce” is based on the notion that even a dead cat will bounce if it falls far enough and fast enough.” (www.investopedia.com)

Kellyanne, the Artist of Deception

Kellyanne Conway. Hmm. Another illustrious example of a paragon of virtue.

Comments from cartoonist:
A spin doctor is a commentator or journalist employed to change the meanings of politicians’ offensive statements or catastrophic events. This can be as simple as forgetting a name or being caught in flagrante delicato, in the act of doing a misdeed.
Kellyanne Conway is a “journalist” (that is a generous description) who “…endorsed Ted Cruz in the Republican presidential primary and chaired a pro-Cruz political action committee. After Cruz suspended his presidential campaign, she became campaign manager for Republican Donald Trump’s presidential campaign on August 17, 2016.” (Wikipedia.)  She will be employed by Donald as White House Counsel.
A spin class is an exercise session on a stationary bicycle led by an instructor, usually in a gym.
